A Cocorite man, identified as 41-year-old Johnathan Richard Warrick, was killed in a shooting last night.
Police said he was standing with several people in an area known as “The Swamp” at Ethlyn Trace in Cocorite at around 9:30 pm when gunmen opened fire on the group.
Warrick was shot multiple times and taken to St. James Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Officers recovered eight 9 mm spent shell casings at the scene.
