A Cocorite woman was shot on Tuesday night while standing on the road outside her boyfriend’s house.
The 20-year-old victim of Waterhole, was at Cuthbert Circular, Four Roads, Diego Martin, around 9.30 pm on May 7, when she saw a masked man walking towards her with a gun in his hand.
The man started running towards her, shooting at her in the process.
The woman reportedly ran into the yard in a bid to escape. However, she was shot in the right ear.
The suspect escaped.
A resident took the injured woman to the St James Medical Complex, where she was treated and warded in a stable condition.
She was expected to be discharged today.
Evidence collected at the scene included six 9-millimetre spent shell casings.
