An Erin man who de­fend­ed his sis­ter from an an­gry lover was stabbed to death on Sun­day night.
Po­lice said De­von “Cod­fish” Moses, 25 of Beach Road, Erin was dead by the time he reached the Siparia Dis­trict Health Fa­cil­i­ty.

The sus­pect, a 30-year-old man from Cou­va, is in po­lice cus­tody. 

Po­lice re­ports stat­ed that around 7 pm, Moses’ sis­ter and the sus­pect were ar­gu­ing at her home when he in­ter­vened.

Moses shout­ed at the man to leave fol­low­ing the ar­gu­ment.

The sus­pect said he need­ed to get some­thing in­side the house and when he re­turned, he stabbed Moses in the neck with a knife.

Erin po­lice re­spond­ed and took Moses for med­ical care.

The sus­pect was ar­rest­ed at the scene.
