A 35-year-old man from Laven­tille was gunned down while at St Christo­pher’s Gas Sta­tion on Wright­son Road, Port-of-Spain, on Sun­day.

Po­lice iden­ti­fied the vic­tim as Jesten Wen­dell Su­perville, al­so known as “Robo,” of Pic­ton Road.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said at 7.50 pm, Su­perville was pump­ing gas in­to a grey-coloured Kia Cer­a­to when a white Hyundai Elantra pulled along­side him. Two men came out of the ve­hi­cle and opened fire on Su­perville.

He was killed on the spot.

Po­lice de­scribed Su­perville as a com­mu­ni­ty leader in the Pic­ton Road, Laven­tille area who was in­volved in gang-re­lat­ed ac­tiv­i­ties.
