The son of a community leader in the Sea Lots district was granted bail by a Port-of-Spain Magistrate today, after pleading not guilty to charges of use of insulting language and resisting arrest.

According to the TTPS, Sgt Alexander and PCs Remy and Raghoonanan were on mobile patrol around 6:45 am, on Wednesday 12 in the Sea Lots district, when a male suspect identified as Ronaldo Burke, 20, allegedly used insulting language against them.

Police said when officers attempted to arrest Burke of Production Avenue, Sea Lots, he allegedly resisted.

Officers eventually managed to apprehend the man who was taken to the Besson Street Police Station, where he was charged.
