School fight.

School fight.

Police are set to investigate yet another school fight, this time at the Chaguanas South Secondary School.

This was confirmed by Minister of Education Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly who said the matter has been referred to the police.

Yesterday, video footage of an altercation between two girls surfaced on social media.

One of the girls seemed to be knocked unconscious.

Gadsby-Dolly said this was because of a medical condition and the incident intensified her symptoms.

The minister said the student was treated at a public health facility yesterday and had a follow-up visit today.

She said their parents were called to the school and officers of the Student Support Services Division are continuing to counsel the parties involved.

Meanwhile, Member of Parliament for Chagaunas East Vandana Mohit strongly condemned violence at the secondary school and commended the early intervention of the police.

She also requested a small token of appreciation for the boys seen helping the unconscious student.
