A man want­ed by the po­lice was shot and killed dur­ing a po­lice-in­volved killing in La Hor­quet­ta yes­ter­day.
Ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­port, at about 2.10 pm a team of po­lice of­fi­cers re­ceived in­for­ma­tion of a want­ed man by the name of Don Ja­cobs was seen hid­ing out in a house at Phase 6 La Hor­quet­ta.
On ar­rival, the of­fi­cers called out to the oc­cu­pants and spot­ted the sus­pect run­ning out of the house to the back of the house and in­to a yard en­ter­ing in­to a wash­room.
The re­port said of­fi­cers gave chase and Ja­cobs drew a firearm and point­ed it in the di­rec­tion of the of­fi­cers fired in the di­rec­tion of the sus­pect hit­ting him.
Ja­cobs was tak­en to the Ari­ma Hos­pi­tal where he was treat­ed.
He, how­ev­er, suc­cumbed to his in­juries at bout 2.40 pm.
