Police have launched a joint investigation into a fight that happened inside St Anthony's College and left one student injured.
Guardian Media understands the student's mother made a police report after her son was allegedly beaten by 10 boys. He sustained a swollen face, bruised ribs, bruises about his chest and back, and a broken nose.
The Criminal Investigations Department, Community-Oriented Policing Section and the Child Protection Unit are investigating.
Minister of Education, Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, said a principal’s report is being compiled, to ascertain exactly who was involved in what she described as a “heinous attack”, and what were the circumstances surrounding it.
That report is expected today.
Investigations continue.
