Po­lice have launched a joint in­ves­ti­ga­tion in­to a fight that hap­pened in­side St An­tho­ny's Col­lege and left one stu­dent in­jured.

Guardian Me­dia un­der­stands the stu­dent's moth­er made a po­lice re­port af­ter her son was al­leged­ly beat­en by 10 boys.  He sus­tained a swollen face, bruised ribs, bruis­es about his chest and back, and a bro­ken nose.

The Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment, Com­mu­ni­ty-Ori­ent­ed Polic­ing Sec­tion and the Child Pro­tec­tion Unit are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.

Min­is­ter of Ed­u­ca­tion, Dr Nyan Gads­by-Dol­ly, said a prin­ci­pal’s re­port is be­ing com­piled, to as­cer­tain ex­act­ly who was in­volved in what she de­scribed as a “heinous at­tack”, and what were the cir­cum­stances sur­round­ing it.

That re­port is ex­pect­ed to­day.
