Police are investigating a stabbing incident at St Mary’s College, Port-of-Spain, yesterday.
School officials were reluctant to go on the record, but police said the incident occurred around 12.45 pm between a Form Four student, who was the alleged attacker, and a Form Three student, who was the victim.
The victim was said to be recovering at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital last night. Details about how the attack unfolded, as well as the severity of it were not immediately forthcoming.
It is unclear where the attacker was last evening, as police said he ran out of the school immediately after the incident. Efforts were being made by the police to track him down.
The stabbing occurred just days after a student at the Signal Hill Secondary School was stabbed during a brawl in a classroom. The victim in that incident is recovering at the hospital.
