Police officers are still trying to ascertain the identities of the two suspects in connection with the fatal shooting Jimmy Thomas, 28, of Ojoe Road in Sangre Grande.
Police are asking members of the public to assist them in identifying the perpetrators of the crime.
Guardian Media was told that up to late Thursday, no one was arrested and no positive identities of the suspects had been received.
According to a police report, at about 9 pm on Tuesday, Thomas was standing at the corner of Boodoo Circular and Eastern Main Road, Sangre Grande, in front of a bar, when he was approached by two men.
One of the men, as seen in a video that went viral on social media, attempted to grab Thomas’ gold chain. Thomas resisted.
