An Orop­une, Pi­ar­co man who was re­leased from jail last week was shot dead yes­ter­day morn­ing and his body was dumped in the com­mu­ni­ty. Po­lice said a bag con­tain­ing eight Molo­tov cock­tails and two 9 mm spent shell cas­ings were found next to his body.

Po­lice said the bul­let-rid­dled corpse of Samuel “Corn­flakes” John was dis­cov­ered yes­ter­day at Orop­une Cir­cu­lar, which is close to where he lived.

At 6.30 am, po­lice were con­tact­ed and told that a man could be found ly­ing on the north­ern side of Build­ing 5A.

Fol­low­ing checks, of­fi­cers dis­cov­ered John, who was shot mul­ti­ple times to the head and face. How­ev­er, po­lice be­lieve John was killed else­where and his body dumped in Orop­une. He was iden­ti­fied by res­i­dents who said he lived near­by.

Of­fi­cers are work­ing on the the­o­ry that John had al­leged­ly fall­en out with a mem­ber of a well-known gang pri­or to his re­lease from prison last week, and had been on his way to car­ry out an at­tack at the sus­pect’s fam­i­ly home in Arou­ca when he was al­leged­ly in­ter­cept­ed by mem­bers of the gang.
