A Pi­ar­co cou­ple was robbed of $60,000 in cash on Wednes­day, as they con­duct­ed roti sales out of their house in St He­le­na Vil­lage.

The two were en­gaged in sales around 1 pm, when three men en­tered the es­tab­lish­ment, one of whom was armed with a gun.

The men locked the woman in a wash­room and forced the man up­stairs, where they ran­sacked the cou­ple’s apart­ment, de­mand­ing cash and valu­ables.

The men beat him about the head and threat­ened to shoot him. The vic­tim be­came fear­ful and di­rect­ed the sus­pects to a bed­room where he hand­ed over a plas­tic bag con­tain­ing $60,000 in cash.

The sus­pects al­so took a Sam­sung S10 cell­phone, a Blu cell­phone, and the DVR for the home’s se­cu­ri­ty sys­tem, be­fore flee­ing through the back door.
