A cou­ple was robbed and shot at Skin­ner Park, San Fer­nan­do, around 4.10 am on Sun­day.

Po­lice said two sus­pects, one of whom was armed, ap­proached the pair as they sat on a bench and stole cash, iden­ti­fi­ca­tion cards, bank cards, and a cell­phone.

A strug­gle en­sued, dur­ing which both vic­tims were shot in the legs. They re­main in sta­ble con­di­tion at the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal.

No use­ful ev­i­dence was re­cov­ered at the scene, and at­tempts to ob­tain CCTV footage were un­suc­cess­ful. In­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing.
