Two cousins from David Toby Road, Cunupia, were detained by officers of the Special Operations Unit (S.O.U.) after a stolen vehicle was discovered on their premises.

The operation, led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Richard Smith, took place on Tuesday evening as part of ongoing searches under the Emergency Powers Regulation 2024.

During the search, officers found a silver Nissan Wingroad with false number plates. Further checks revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen from the St. James area on January 8, 2025.

The two suspects were taken into custody as investigations continue into the matter. Authorities again urge the public to report any suspicious vehicles or activities to assist in curbing vehicle-related crimes.
