The Cuban government has congratulated Prime Minister-elect Kamla Persad-Bissessar. In a congratulatory post social media platform X (formerly Twitter), President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, wrote, “We express the will to #Cuba to continue strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation with Trinidad and Tobago.”
His foreign minister also took to social media, saying, “We congratulate the Prime Minister-elect of Trinidad and Tobago, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, on her victory in the elections of 28 April.
