The bullet-riddled corpse of a Cunupia man, who was last seen alive on Tuesday, was discovered in a pool of blood at his home on Wednesday.
The victim was identified as 50-year-old truck driver Joseph Jason Apping, of Jerningham Junction Road, Cunupia.
He was found around 8:30 am by an official of JR Tire Services.
The business, which operates out of Joseph’s home, was also the same with which Joseph was employed.
Reports indicate the official arrived to work on Wednesday and found Joseph dead on the floor.
He had been clad in a pair of black short pants. His body bore several wounds.
Six spent shell casings were recovered on the floor near Joseph’s body.
Residents reported hearing gunshots in the area around 12:32 am on Wednesday, but did not venture out to check.
