Cunupia pensioner tied up and robbed during home invasion

A 69-year-old Cunu­pia woman was tied up and robbed dur­ing a home in­va­sion ear­ly Wednes­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said the woman had locked up her home on Travis Per­sad Dri­ve and gone to bed, but woke around mid­night af­ter hear­ing nois­es. When she got up to check, she was con­front­ed by two men who tied her up and ran­sacked the house.

The in­trud­ers stole per­fumes, a gold ring, a gold bracelet, a cell­phone and oth­er items be­fore es­cap­ing. The woman even­tu­al­ly man­aged to free her­self and called the po­lice.
