The Customs Border Control System (ASYCUDA) has been rendered temporarily unavailable due to water leaks at the Customs House, Government Campus Plaza, in Port of Spain.

According to a public notice issued by the Comptroller of Customs and Excise, the water intrusion compromised the digital system, forcing officers to revert to manual processing for all services.

This disruption is expected to cause delays in the delivery of customs-related services.

The Division indicated that restoration work is underway and anticipates that ASYCUDA will be fully operational by 8:00 a.m. on Monday, 1st July.

The public has been asked to remain patient during this period.

“We apologise for the inconvenience,” the statement read.
