Flow customers experienced an interruption in service for several hours yesterday, after its fibre cables were damaged.
The company posted a notice to customers on its Facebook page around mid-morning, stating: “Flow wishes to advise customers that we are experiencing service interruptions across some communities in the Northwest area due to unexpected damage to our fibre cables.”
It said its repair teams were dispatched and had been working to restore service in the shortest time possible.
The company did not provide any further details as to how the cables were damaged and if it was a case of vandalism.
Efforts to contact Flow’s communications manager proved futile.
The company also apologised for the inconvenience and thanked its customers for their patience and understanding.
Around 8 pm, last evening Flow’s service returned in some parts of the country.
