De­li­ka White Leza­ma, 13, has been safe­ly lo­cat­ed, be­ing re­unit­ed with her moth­er at 5.15 pm this evening.

The girl had been miss­ing for the last two weeks, af­ter last be­ing seen be­hind a cor­ner shop near her grand­moth­er's house in the north­east­ern town of San­gre Grande at 4 pm on 17 De­cem­ber.

Weeks of hard work by her fam­i­ly, the An­ti Kid­nap­ping Unit, the San­gre Grande Po­lice Of­fi­cers and Hunters Search and Res­cue Team fi­nal­ly paid off as she was re­unit­ed with her fam­i­ly to­day.

The mat­ter is still re­ceiv­ing the at­ten­tion of the Po­lice Ser­vice who are not com­ment­ing on the cir­cum­stances sur­round­ing her safe re­turn.

Delia White, her moth­er, who is from Green­ford, told the British press yes­ter­day, "She didn't seem up­set or an­gry when she left - there was noth­ing that would have made her run away.

"I can't think of any­one who could abduct her in par­tic­u­lar, but every­one knows us, the whole com­mu­ni­ty knows us, and that I come and go from the UK to see my mum all the time."

Fam­i­ly mem­bers had been beg­ging the pub­lic for as­sis­tance in find­ing her over the past two weeks.
