Dr Devant Maharaj has been appointed an adjunct professor at the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT).
In making the announcement, Maharaj, who is a resident in Canada, said he will operate remotely and had already done some work for UTT this way.
He added, “It’s with immense pride and dedication I accept this opportunity to contribute to the academic excellence and advancement of UTT’s mission. As an Adjunct Professor, I look forward to collaborating with faculty, students, and staff to foster a vibrant learning environment conducive to growth and innovation.”
Maharaj will lecture in the fields of entrepreneurship, marketing and leadership.
He added, “My appointment signifies a commitment to excellence and underscores UTT’s dedication to providing students with access to diverse perspectives and expertise. I am eager to share my knowledge and experience in my field of expertise with the UTT community, empowering students to excel in their academic and professional pursuits.”
He said he was grateful the university had entrusted him with the role and pledged to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity and mentorship. “Together, we will embark on a journey of discovery, learning, and transformation, shaping the future of education and fostering leaders who will make a positive impact on society.”
