In­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing in­to two sep­a­rate rob­beries in Ari­ma where a doc­tor's of­fice and a su­per­mar­ket were hit by ban­dits on Mon­day. In the first in­ci­dent, at about 12:20 pm a re­cep­tion­ist at a doc­tor's of­fice, lo­cat­ed at Hol­lis Av­enue saw the sus­pect wait­ing in the pa­tient area. 

When all oth­er pa­tients had left the of­fice the sus­pect an­nounced a rob­bery and re­lieved the vic­tim of one Hot 9 In­finix Black Cel­lu­lar phone val­ued at $2,000 with sim cards in a rose gold phone case con­tain­ing $900 in cash.

The vic­tim saw a red han­dle knife in the left hand of the sus­pect, who bent over the re­cep­tion­ist ta­ble opened the draw­er and took $900 in cash from the es­tab­lish­ment. The sus­pect then in­struct­ed the vic­tim to go in the of­fice by the doc­tor or he would kill her, which she com­plied. The sus­pect then es­caped. En­quiries are con­tin­u­ing.

In the sec­ond in­ci­dent, at about 7:40 pm of­fi­cers of the La Hor­quet­ta Po­lice Sta­tion re­spond­ed to a re­port of a rob­bery at L & L Green Gro­cers lo­cat­ed at Tumpuna Road. On ar­rival the 60-year-old vic­tim re­port­ed that three men of African de­scent en­tered the es­tab­lish­ment pre­tend­ing to be cus­tomers. She be­came sus­pi­cious of their ac­tions and told a rel­a­tive to hide in their home lo­cat­ed at the back of the su­per­mar­ket.

The men took a quan­ti­ty of cash from the reg­is­ter and de­mand­ed more cash.
They held on to the vic­tim and threat­ened her. She then led them to the kitchen area of her home where she opened the stove and took out a black plas­tic bag con­tain­ing ap­prox­i­mate­ly $3,000 in cash and hand­ed it over. One of the sus­pects then took a quan­ti­ty of al­co­hol and all three es­caped by run­ning south along Tumpuna Road.

 Of­fi­cers as­signed to the North­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force North and South re­spond­ed and made checks in the vicin­i­ty how­ev­er no one was seen match­ing the de­scrip­tions giv­en.
