Dolsingh knighted by Queen of Denmark

The Queen of Den­mark has ho­n­oured Ravi Dols­ingh, the son of for­mer deputy di­rec­tor of pub­lic pros­e­cu­tions Ran­jee Dols­ingh, with a knight­hood.

Queen Mar­grethe II be­stowed the Knight’s Cross of the Or­der of Dan­nebrog on Dols­ingh on Jan­u­ary 1 in recog­ni­tion of his ser­vice as the Dan­ish Con­sul Gen­er­al (Hon) to Trinidad and To­ba­go, re­ports by Dan­ish press say.

Dols­ingh is an at­tor­ney-at-law at RR Dols­ingh & Co who cur­rent­ly serves as a di­rec­tor to both the As­so­ci­a­tion of Re­al Es­tate Agents (AREA) and Al­cazar Re­al­tors.

He is the son of Trinidad at­tor­ney, the late Rangee Dols­ingh, SC, and Malaw­ian busi­ness­woman Sarah Dols­ingh.

Dur­ing Dols­ingh’s tenure as Con­sul Gen­er­al (Hon), Den­mark has been in­volved in a num­ber of projects in­clud­ing be­ing a lead fi­nan­cial con­trib­u­tor to the Unit­ed Na­tions’ help­ing un­der­priv­i­leged youth in Mor­vant, as well as the digi­ti­sa­tion of the Cen­tral Sta­tis­ti­cal Of­fice of Trinidad and To­ba­go.

Dols­ingh worked for many years in the fi­nan­cial dis­trict in Lon­don be­fore re­turn­ing to Trinidad with his wife Jen­nifer Al­cazar Dols­ingh.

Den­mark is rec­og­nized as a world leader in clean en­er­gy with 50% of the elec­tric­i­ty it us­es be­ing gen­er­at­ed by wind and so­lar pow­er.
