One man was ar­rest­ed to­day for dri­ving while be­ing dis­qual­i­fied.

It hap­pened while the TTPS con­duct­ed sev­er­al road­blocks to­day in the North Cen­tral Di­vi­sion along­side of­fi­cers from the Trans­port Di­vi­sion and Tran­sit Po­lice Unit. It be­gan in the morn­ing in Red Hill, Arou­ca.

Through­out the af­ter­noon they had moved be­tween Ma­coya Junc­tion and Trinci­ty.

Dur­ing the ex­er­cise, of­fi­cers is­sued 230 fixed penal­ty no­tices for var­i­ous traf­fic of­fences. They served 12 no­tices of in­tent to dri­vers who ex­ceed­ed the de­mer­it points thresh­old. One dri­ver re­ceived a no­tice of dis­qual­i­fi­ca­tion.

Of­fi­cers com­plet­ed 155 stop-and-search forms and stopped 25 ve­hi­cles. No il­le­gal items were found. The ex­er­cise was in­ci­dent-free.
