Em­ploy­ees of the Drugs Sou Sou (DSS) were robbed of more than $300,000 in cash on Thurs­day evening.

Den­isha Ramirez, 32, of Cir­cu­lar Road, Pey­tonville, a nurse with the North Cen­tral Re­gion­al Health Au­thor­i­ty (NCRHA) who is al­so a book­keep­er for the DSS, told po­lice that at about 6.30 pm she and her broth­er, Ver­non Ramirez, 34, of Nuts Dri­ve, Race Course Road, Cara­po, Ari­ma, were robbed as they were leav­ing the Trinci­ty Mall through the south east­ern ex­it.

Near the Cre­ative Nail Spa Ver­non was ap­proached by a man who snatched a black duf­fle bag from him that con­tained $325,000 col­lect­ed for the DSS.

Ver­non at­tempt­ed to fight off the thief but he man­aged to es­cape in a red sta­tion wag­on with the reg­is­tra­tion num­ber PDR 1138.
