A 21-year-old El Socorro woman was reportedly raped at her home on Friday, by a man known to her.
The victim told police she was at home alone around 11 am on April 25, when she heard someone knocking on the door.
The woman said she got off her bed and opened the door to see the suspect, whom she knows.
Police said the woman was allegedly grabbed by both of her hands and they were tied with a piece of cloth. She was pushed back onto the bed before the suspect proceeded to rape her.
The suspect reportedly untied the woman after he was finished, and walked out of the house.
Police officers visited the woman’s apartment and collected a bed sheet, a t-shirt, a pair of underwear, and a pair of short pants as part of the investigation.
The victim was taken to the El Socorro Health Centre where she was medically examined.
Officers were up to yesterday searching for the suspect who lives in Aranguez.
