A La Horquetta man was crushed to death after the car he was working on, fell on top of him on Saturday.
Marlon Mayers, 68, of Colvin Patrick Lane, La Horquetta, Arima died at the scene.
Police said Mayers was working on the car around 9 am on February 1, in the front yard of a neighbour’s house, when tragedy struck.
Mayers, who lived alone, was later found unresponsive by neighbours around 11.25 am under his red Mazda 323 car.
The resident who discovered Mayers raised an alarm and together with several other people, they were able to lift the car and remove Mayers.
The group contacted the Emergency Health Services whilst administering CPR.
