A 34-year-old man who was re­cent­ly re­leased from prison was shot and killed in Diego Mar­tin on Sun­day morn­ing.

He has been iden­ti­fied as Key­mandie Adams, of Wa­ter­wheel Road, Diego Mar­tin.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, at around 12.15 pm, Adams was in front of his res­i­dence in the com­pa­ny of oth­er peo­ple when gun­men shot him twice in his head. He was sub­se­quent­ly tak­en to the hos­pi­tal for med­ical treat­ment, where he was list­ed in a crit­i­cal con­di­tion.

How­ev­er, Adams lat­er suc­cumbed to his in­juries.

In an un­re­lat­ed in­ci­dent, an in­mate of the Max­i­mum Se­cu­ri­ty Prison in Arou­ca is on the run af­ter he es­caped cus­tody while re­ceiv­ing treat­ment at the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex, Mt Hope, yes­ter­day morn­ing.

The po­lice are now ask­ing for the pub­lic’s as­sis­tance in find­ing Ha­keem Ish­mael Mo­hammed, 27, al­so known as a ‘Nel­ly’ and ‘Sa­tan’.

The pris­on­er, who had been charged with mur­der and rob­bery of­fences, was last seen at the hos­pi­tal around 3 am yes­ter­day.

Mo­hammed is six feet tall, dark brown in com­plex­ion with a medi­um build, black hair, brown eyes and an oval face.
