Akeisha Worrell

After almost two months with no word on their sister Akeisha Worrell’s whereabouts, her family visited the West End police station again last week.

Akeisha, 32, was last seen on February 17 by her two children at their Petit Valley Morne Coco Road apartment. She left home that day and has not been seen or heard from since.

But her sister Philomena Worrell did not get the news she was hoping for from the police.

“All the leads they get so far from the one or two people who say they think they see she and stuff, and it wasn’t so,” Philomena explained.

She said the person who they thought was a suspect had an alibi.

“The one search they went on where they said they get a ping somewhere from her phone in Diego Martin—nothing ain’t come out of that,” the sister explained.

Philomena said her family is still hoping that Akeisha, who is a mother of two, is safe somewhere.  However, their lack of funds is affecting their ability to do all they can to find her.

“Right now, we trying to organise to put up some flyers in Chaguanas and we waiting to go and do some t-shirts with her face on them, but the money is kind of tight right now,” she explained.

Anyone with information on Akeisha’s whereabouts can call the family at 306-8498 or the police at 800-TIPS.
