The Tobago House of Assembly Executive Council has been reshuffled.
A little over a week after Chief Secretary Farley Augustine made the internal changes, his final decision was announced in a press release this morning.
Augustine will deliver his final budget as Secretary of Finance, Trade and the Economy in June 2024.
A new Secretary of Finance will be announced and installed on July 1.
In addition, the THA has announced several changes to its executive team, effective May 13:
-Sonny Craig will serve as Assistant Secretary in the Office of the Chief Secretary, responsible for energy transition, carbon sequestration, and environmental protection policies.
- Megan Morrison will serve as Assistant Secretary in the Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, responsible for social support programs.
- Niall George will serve as Assistant Secretary in the Division of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities and Transportation, responsible for sport tourism, community-based tourism, and culture.
- Certica Williams-Orr will serve as Assistant Secretary in the Division of Finance, Trade and the Economy, responsible for reorganizing human resources structures and general public service management.
-Orlando Kerr will serve as Assistant Secretary in the Division of Settlements, Public Utilities and Rural Development, responsible for public utilities and rural development.
And effective May 14:
- Terance Baynes will serve as Assistant Secretary in the Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and Urban Development, responsible for URP (Unemployment Relief Program) and maintenance. Baynes will also serve as Deputy Presiding Officer.
- Joel Sampson will serve as Secretary of Community Development, Youth Development & Sport.
All other Secretaries and Assistant Secretaries will retain their current positions.
