A man has been shot while drop­ping off his son at a school in Va­len­cia.

Po­lice re­ports say that around 8:05 this morn­ing, the 30-year-old vic­tim of Guaico Vil­lage Street #3 Ex­ten­sion, Guaico, San­gre Grande, was at the Cumaca RC Pri­ma­ry School where he went to drop off his son when he ob­served a man who he knows run­ning to­wards him on the road­way hold­ing an ob­ject in his hand re­sem­bling a firearm.

Re­ports say the vic­tim ran on­to the school com­pound but was pur­sued by the sus­pect who shot him and then ran through a near­by ceme­tery.

The vic­tim felt a burn­ing sen­sa­tion in his right arm, but made it to the Va­len­cia Po­lice Post where he made a re­port.

He was then con­veyed to the San­gre Grande Hos­pi­tal where he was treat­ed.
