A fa­ther and son were killed, and an­oth­er son was fight­ing for his life at hos­pi­tal last night, af­ter gun­men at­tacked the rel­a­tives in Va­len­cia on Wednes­day night.

Po­lice have iden­ti­fied the vic­tims as Har­ry Ramd­hanie, 54, and his 18-year-old son Aleem Ramd­hanie.

Of­fi­cers at the Va­len­cia Po­lice Post said they re­ceived a re­port of a shoot­ing at Lewis Lane, Plan­ta­tion Road, Va­len­cia, at 10 pm.

When of­fi­cers re­spond­ed, they found Har­ry Ramd­hanie in front of his door­way al­ready dead, and his sons, Aleem and Saleem, 20, suf­fer­ing from gun­shot wounds to the head but show­ing signs of life.

The two sib­lings were rushed to the San­gre Grande Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal, where Aleem was pro­nounced dead at 1.05 am yes­ter­day. Saleem re­mained in crit­i­cal con­di­tion up to last night. Crime scene in­ves­ti­ga­tors re­cov­ered 24 spent shells of dif­fer­ent cal­i­bres at the scene.

Man killed in Mal­oney

In an un­re­lat­ed in­ci­dent, po­lice are al­so in­ves­ti­gat­ing the mur­der of Ja­marie “Bred­do” Sylvester at Mal­oney Gar­dens yes­ter­day.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, of­fi­cers re­spond­ed to a re­port of loud ex­plo­sions at Build­ing 20 at 12.35 am. There, they found Sylvester’s body with mul­ti­ple gun­shot wounds.

Po­lice said Sylvester was from the Sea Lots, Port-of-Spain. From in­for­ma­tion they got, they be­lieve the killing may be gang-re­lat­ed, as re­ports sug­gest Sylvester had been warned about en­ter­ing the area due to be­ing from a ri­val gang. Sylvester was re­port­ed­ly vis­it­ing a friend in the apart­ment com­plex when he was killed.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing.

Mean­while, po­lice are al­so prob­ing the cir­cum­stances sur­round­ing the death of Reno­ry Phillip, 52, of Mamoral Val­ley Road, Mamoral, on Wednes­day.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, at 9.30 am, Robert Phillip, of Main Road, Mamoral, went to check on Reno­ry, his broth­er, af­ter not hear­ing from him. Up­on ar­rival, he found his broth­er dead on the floor in­side his house. Phillip was last seen on Oc­to­ber 27.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions in­to all three in­ci­dents are con­tin­u­ing.
