?After four years, Marina Salandy-Brown has stepped down as the executive director of the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival. She confirmed this in an e-mail to a number of people yesterday saying: "It has been exciting to be part of building what has become, in a relatively short time, a national institution, and doing it from scratch. "You know of my passion for and my belief in creating a sustainable film industry in T&T and I am grateful to you for your collaboration and support. "I enjoyed joining forces with you in trying to build one part of the edifice, I think we did some good work together, and I look forward to having the opportunity and pleasure of working with you again in the future." The former BBC employee returned to Trinidad after years in England and became executive director of the Film Festival.
