?Af­ter four years, Ma­ri­na Sa­landy-Brown has stepped down as the ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor of the Trinidad and To­ba­go Film Fes­ti­val. She con­firmed this in an e-mail to a num­ber of peo­ple yes­ter­day say­ing: "It has been ex­cit­ing to be part of build­ing what has be­come, in a rel­a­tive­ly short time, a na­tion­al in­sti­tu­tion, and do­ing it from scratch. "You know of my pas­sion for and my be­lief in cre­at­ing a sus­tain­able film in­dus­try in T&T and I am grate­ful to you for your col­lab­o­ra­tion and sup­port. "I en­joyed join­ing forces with you in try­ing to build one part of the ed­i­fice, I think we did some good work to­geth­er, and I look for­ward to hav­ing the op­por­tu­ni­ty and plea­sure of work­ing with you again in the fu­ture." The for­mer BBC em­ploy­ee re­turned to Trinidad af­ter years in Eng­land and be­came ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor of the Film Fes­ti­val.
