A fire broke out in one of the buildings at the St Jude’s Home for Girls in Belmont yesterday.
Luckily no one was hurt or injured when the building caught ablaze in the afternoon.
A passer-by told the Sunday Guardian she heard a loud explosion while walking along Belmont Circular Road followed by the screams of children.
The building is not the main dormitory that houses the children.
Officers from the Belmont Fire Station responded to the fire.
