Four persons are homeless after a fire destroyed an apartment building at Bloody Bay, Tobago on Tuesday morning.
According to reports from the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service, the fire started around 8:15am.
Guardian Media understands that the blaze damaged three out of the four apartments of the building, owned by Vaness Quashie-Wright.
We are told that the roof was also destroyed.
Residents in areas also formed a bucket as they attempted to douse the flames, but proved too much for them. The building was valued at $1.35 million, while the estimated loss has been put at $1.2 million.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Officers of the Roxborough Fire Station responded to the call.
Investigations are continuing.
