Five people were arrested and a quantity of cannabis seized during Operation Festive Shield exercises conducted in the Southern and Northern Divisions yesterday.
In the Southern Division, Task Force officers conducted an exercise between 4 pm and 8 pm on Saturday 13th December, 2025. Officers proceeded to the Princes Town district, where they found two packets containing approximately one kilogramme of cannabis.
A 41 year old man was arrested in connection with the find.
During the same exercise, officers also arrested a 28 year old man of Indian Walk for possession of a quantity of cannabis.
The operation in the Southern Division was coordinated by Snr Supt Simon, Supt Bertie, W Supt Bridglal, ASP Ramsaran, ASP Ramlogan, ASP Chulan and Insp Wilkinson.
Meanwhile, in the Northern Division, officers conducting investigations into reports of larceny of a motor vehicle arrested three male suspects, ages 18 to 29, from Belmont and San Juan.
The exercises in the Northern Division were spearheaded by ACP Singh, W Snr Supt Maynard Wilson, Supt Mc Kenzie, ASP Morales and W Insp Cedeno Figaro.
