A five-year-old boy drowned at Fun Splash Wa­ter Park in Debe on Sun­day.

Damari Jef­frey of La Brea went to the wa­ter park with his moth­er and oth­er fam­i­ly mem­bers for a birth­day par­ty.

Ini­tial re­ports stat­ed that about 20 min­utes af­ter they ar­rived, around 4.20 pm, the child's moth­er found him ly­ing mo­tion­less in the adult sec­tion of the pool.

The para­medics tried to re­sus­ci­tate him and took him to the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal where he was pro­nounced dead at 6:16 pm. San Fer­nan­do po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
