A 69-year-old former school maxi driver was found murdered in Arouca early on Monday morning.
He was identified as Dennis Affan of #5 14th Avenue, Bon Air Gardens, Arouca.
According to a police report at about 12:35 am Affan was shot dead while in front of his house. Police said there was a gunshot wound to the front of his neck.
The area was processed and three spent 9mm shell casings were recovered at the corner of Bon Air Circular and 14th Avenue, which is approximately 150 feet away from the body.
The body was removed from the scene to be subsequently taken to the Forensic Science Centre for an autopsy.
Investigations are continuing.
