Four men were arrested and quantities of cannabis and cash seized during a police operation in Sangre Grande on Saturday night.
The exercise, carried out between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. in the Eastern Division, targeted suspected drug-related activity along the Eastern Main Road. Officers acted on intelligence received and conducted multiple searches in the area.
The suspects, aged 26 to 40, are all from Sangre Grande. Police said each was held with varying amounts of cannabis and cash in their possession.
The operation forms part of ongoing efforts to dismantle the illegal drug trade in the district.
Investigations are continuing.
The exercise was coordinated by Snr Supt Paponette and Insp Harper, with support from the Eastern Division Task Force.
