Four Princes Town men have appeared before a Master of the High Court jointly charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm against a 23-year-old man from the district.
Ravi Shazard, 22; Vikash Sharma, 38; Vinay Sharma, 40; and Shazard Aggan, 30, were charged with the offences when they appeared before Master Gray in the South Master Court on Tuesday.
The accused were not called upon to plead.
Ravi Shazard and Shazard Aggan were each granted bail with surety in the sum of $100,000 to cover all the charges.
They were ordered to report to the Princes Town Police Station two days a week between 6 am and 6 pm, to have no contact with the virtual complainant, to stay 500 metres away from the virtual complainant, and to reside at a Princes Town address.
Vikash Sharma and Vinay Sharma were denied bail.
The matter was adjourned to Wednesday 26th November, 2025.
The charges arose out of a report made on Saturday 17th May, 2025 in the Princes Town district.
Investigations were supervised by Insp Wilkinson, Sgt (Ag) Teeluck, and Cpl Ramkissoon of the Princes Town Criminal Investigations Department.
PC Basdeo, also of the Princes Town CID, laid the charges.
