Four men have appeared before High Court Masters on charges of house breaking and larceny arising from reports made within the last 48 hours.
In Port of Spain, Jamal Williams, 20, appeared before a Master of the High Court charged with house breaking and larceny. Williams pleaded not guilty. Bail with surety was set at $65,000. The charge arose from a report made on January 3 concerning a residence in Ocean Park, Carenage. The complainant returned home and found a window broken. Williams was arrested on January 9 and charged.
The court ordered Williams to observe a curfew from 8.00 pm to 5.00 am and to report to the Besson Street Police Station. The matter was transferred to the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court and is listed for hearing on 12 February 2026.
In Tobago, Javon Edwards, 18, and Samson Leith, 21, appeared before Master Shabaana Shah charged with House Breaking and Larceny. Both pleaded not guilty. Bail with surety was set at $40,000 for Edwards and $45,000 for Leith. The charges relate to an incident on January 8 during a police patrol in Signal Hill.
Anthony Edwards, 26, appeared before Master Shabaana Shah charged with House Breaking and Larceny in relation to a report made on 5 January 2026 to the Scarborough Police. He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail with surety in the sum of $85,000. The court ordered him to remain 100 feet from the virtual complainant and 200 feet from the residence.
