Two young men nar­row­ly es­caped death when gun­men fired at them on Mon­day night.

Po­lice said the men, aged 22 and 26, were sit­ting in a brown Nis­san Almera on Nor­ie­ga Trace, Mal­abar Road, at around 10.15 pm when they no­ticed a white Nis­san X-Trail with heav­i­ly tint­ed win­dows dri­ving near­by.

Some­one in the X-Trail fired at the men but missed, dam­ag­ing the wind­screen and left-side win­dow be­fore speed­ing off.

The duo drove to the Mal­abar Po­lice Sta­tion to make a re­port. The 26-year-old sus­tained mi­nor cuts from bro­ken glass, but nei­ther was se­ri­ous­ly in­jured, po­lice said.

Of­fi­cers from the Ari­ma Crime Scene Unit vis­it­ed the scene and re­cov­ered 29 spent shells.
