A man who is yet to be iden­ti­fied was killed on Sat­ur­day morn­ing af­ter he and two oth­ers broke-in a house in St Au­gus­tine.

Po­lice re­port­ed that the in­trud­ers went to Free­man Road, St Au­gus­tine and were greet­ed by a firearm users li­cense hold­er who shot two, killing one and the oth­er es­caped un­in­jured.

Po­lice re­port­ed that at about 4 am the three men forced their way in­side the man’s home. Po­lice said the li­censed own­er called on the men to leave and af­ter dis­re­gard­ing his in­struc­tions, the next sounds they heard were gun­shots.

The de­ceased, po­lice said, is in his ear­ly 20s, of African de­scent, with a corn­row hair­style, was wear­ing a blue and white jer­sey, green sweater, three-quar­ter pants, and Nike slip­pers.

He was found in a drain out­side the man’s house. Po­lice be­lieve a sec­ond man was shot and are call­ing on all med­ical in­sti­tu­tions to no­ti­fy them if any­one comes in with gun­shot wounds.
