Thir­ty year old Vishal Bir­ju has been charged with the mur­der of Gabriel­la Du Bar­ry.

Bir­ju, a taxi dri­ver from Pep­per Vil­lage, Fyz­abad, was charged yes­ter­day evening.

He is ex­pect­ed to ap­pear be­fore a Siparia mag­is­trate at the Siparia Mag­is­trates’ Court, this morn­ing.

Last Thurs­day, Gar­biel­la Du Bar­ry was at her par­ents’ home when Bir­ju stormed the premis­es, en­tered a bed­room and opened fire on her. The moth­er of one was shot three times and died at the scene.

He was sub­se­quent­ly de­tained by po­lice at his home.

Bir­ju and Du Bar­ry re­port­ed­ly once shared a re­la­tion­ship; how­ev­er, it was even­tu­al­ly bro­ken off by the woman, who claimed he be­came vi­o­lent to­wards her.
