Homi­cide de­tec­tives are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the mur­der of a 25-year-old Gas­par­il­lo man who was shot dead on Thurs­day night.

A re­port states that Bran­don Mo­hammed, 25, was stand­ing along But­ter­cup Lane, Har­mo­ny Hall, with an­oth­er man from the com­mu­ni­ty around 8 pm, when a black Nis­san Sun­ny B11 car with no iden­ti­fi­ca­tion plates pulled up along­side the men. A gun­man got out and fired two shots at Mo­hammed, got back in­to the car and left.

PC Mo­hamed and PC Steele, of the Gas­par­il­lo Po­lice Sta­tion, re­spond­ed to the shoot­ing, along with de­tec­tives from the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions, Re­gion Three.

Wit­ness­es told in­ves­ti­ga­tors they saw one of Mo­hammed’s fe­male rel­a­tives en­ter­ing a get­away ve­hi­cle im­me­di­ate­ly af­ter the shoot­ing. An am­bu­lance took Mo­hammed to the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal, where he died while re­ceiv­ing treat­ment.

A re­port said Mo­hammed lived at School Trace, Gas­par­il­lo, but when Guardian Me­dia vis­it­ed the com­mu­ni­ty, a rel­a­tive said she al­so had a broth­er with the same name and age. How­ev­er, she said he was alive and rest­ing with his fam­i­ly.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors were yet to de­ter­mine a mo­tive for the mur­der up to last and were still search­ing for the killer. They said the killer was of mixed eth­nic­i­ty, fair com­plex­ion, slim built, about 5’8” tall and wore a black jack­et and long black pants.
