Hun­dreds at­tend­ed the San­gre Grande Re­gion­al Fes­ti­val Com­mit­tee's launch of Car­ni­val 2025 at Birdies Ground on Fri­day night.

The mas­sive crowd en­joyed the event as they wit­nessed char­ac­ters from tra­di­tion­al mas, in­clud­ing, jab jabs from Cou­va, blue dev­ils, moko jumbies, fan­cy sailors, go­ril­las and stick fight­ers.

They were en­ter­tained by live per­for­mances from, for­mer so­ca chut­ney cham­pi­on Ken­neth Sal­ick and so­ca artistes Ben­jai, Or­lan­do Oc­tave and oth­ers.

A heavy po­lice pres­ence main­tained law and or­der en­sur­ing the safe­ty for all to have a won­der­ful evening.
