Hun­dreds of peo­ple at­tend­ed the launch of Car­ni­val 2025 by the San­gre Grande Re­gion­al Fes­ti­val Com­mit­tee in the heart of the town at “Birdies Ground” on Fri­day night.

The crowd en­joyed the event, which fea­tured tra­di­tion­al Car­ni­val char­ac­ters such as jab jabs from Cou­va, blue dev­ils, moko jumbies, fan­cy sailors, go­ril­las, and stick fight­ers.

At­ten­dees were treat­ed to en­er­getic live per­for­mances by for­mer So­ca Chut­ney Cham­pi­on Ken­neth Sal­ick with his hit Rad­i­ca, as well as so­ca artistes Ben­jai, Coutain, Or­lan­do Oc­tave, Sher­win “Men­ace” Je­re­mi­ah, Damien “Ace” Oliviere, and Olufe­mi “Crym” Williams.

A strong po­lice pres­ence en­sured law and or­der, al­low­ing every­one to en­joy a safe and spec­tac­u­lar evening.
