Cul­ture Min­is­ter Win­ston Gyp­sy Pe­ters missed yes­ter­day's bud­get pre­sen­ta­tion through ill­ness. He was tak­en to a med­ical in­sti­tu­tion in San Fer­nan­do af­ter com­plain­ing of headaches, a Gov­ern­ment source said last night. The T&T Guardian was told that the min­is­ter did not suf­fer a stroke as claimed by some. He was ex­pect­ed to be kept at the in­sti­tu­tion overnight and was vis­it­ed by at least one Gov­ern­ment min­is­ter. Mean­while, Jus­tice Min­is­ter Her­bert Vol­ney re­turned to Par­lia­ment yes­ter­day af­ter re­cu­per­at­ing from by­pass surgery a few months ago. (RL)
