Overnight tor­ren­tial show­ers have re­sult­ed in street flood­ing in some parts of Pe­nal Rock Road.

How­ev­er, he said the wa­ter­ways and rivers are not yet filled to ca­pac­i­ty. "So we are hop­ing with the con­di­tions of right tide and ces­sa­tion of the rain­fall, we will be spared a flood."

He as­sured that the Pe­nal Debe Cor­po­ra­tion is on stand­by by to as­sist res­i­dents should the floods in­crease.

The coun­try has been un­der a Yel­low Lev­el Alert since yes­ter­day and it's ex­pect­ed to con­tin­ue un­til 6 pm to­day.
