Of­fi­cers of the North East­ern Di­vi­sion Gang Unit seized a high-pow­ered ri­fle, a large quan­ti­ty of am­mu­ni­tion, se­cu­ri­ty pro­tec­tive wear, cam­ou­flage cloth­ing, and ve­hi­cle num­ber plates, dur­ing an in­ten­sive, in­tel­li­gence-led an­ti-crime ex­er­cise to­day.

Based on in­for­ma­tion re­ceived, sur­veil­lance ex­er­cis­es were car­ried out, which led to the op­er­a­tion, which was con­duct­ed at Grana­do Street, 2nd Cale­do­nia, Mor­vant.

Dur­ing the ex­er­cise of­fi­cers searched an aban­doned dwelling house and the sur­round­ing area, where the fol­low­ing items were found buried in the yard:
